Warner overtook Sachin in the record century

David Warner's run drought with the bat was increasing the scope for criticism.  It was at this time that the Australian opener scored a record century.

Warner overtook Sachin in the record century

 Played an innings of 106 runs in the second ODI against South Africa at Blown font win.  Warner is now the owner of most international centuries after Sachin Tendulkar as an opener.  Warner's 46 against Sachin's 45.

 Earlier today, he turned the century he scored against South Africa in 2022 into a double century.  After that, the Australian opener could not score a century in any edition.

 Warner sat next to Sachin in another feat by breaking the century record in the opening today.  The two are jointly on top of the list of highest ODI centuries against the Proteas.  Scored 5 centuries.  Virat Kohli is second with 4 centuries.

 Australia get big collection in second ODI on Warner's record day  The visitors scored 392 runs for 8 wickets.  The Auji opener scored a fifty off 52 balls and reached a century off 85 balls.  Before getting out, he finished the innings of 106 runs in 93 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes.

 Marnus Labuschagne, the hero of the first ODI, scored a century with him.  The 29-year-old batsman, who got a chance to tour South Africa, played an innings of 124 runs off 99 balls.  This is his second century in ODI career.
